We can all live in harmony

All you have to do is try

Peace be with you brother and sisters

None of us need die

Im not talking death here on earth

This death is spiritual

Take my hand brothers

Dont walk alone

Embrace me as I embrace you

Follow me to life

You are all my brothers and sisters

Follow me to life

I was lying there, dead

All thoughts had ceased

No more pain

No more heartache

I felt that I was floating

I was comfortable

I knew not where my soul was

But my body was sitting on the medical table

The doctor reaches towards my face

He begins to shut my eyes

The dim ceiling light fades

Darkness

Within seconds, I feel a hand on my face

Did the Dr. Change his mind?

The hand begins to open my eyes

It’s no longer a dim light

The light is a million times brighter

Yet my eyes don’t squint

I look to the person who opened my eyes

It’s not the Dr. after all

I look around

I see all my loved ones that died before me

They are smiling at me, happy

The lord takes my hand and smiles, “Follow me”

Ok, so in the bible, there is a part where Jesus goes to the temple to worship and the people have it set up like a market, buying and selling goods. Enraged, Jesus walks over to the tables and throws them over and tells them how wrong it is to have a market set up in the holy place.

Well….The Church I have been attending recently starts church by having morning announcements. They say things that are going on in their lives or in the church calendar and send a sign up sheet around. Today, a man announced that he owned a store and it closed and he has extra inventory that he would like to sell to the people of the church and all proceeds go to the church funds. People just pay what they feel they want to pay and take the item.

To me, this is border line, nay this is wrong. This seems to be similar to what Jesus was angered about. This seems more innocent because the proceeds go to the church and most announcements are about the church. But is the sermon the best part to make those announcements?

Just wondering what other church goers take on this is. Please feel free to comment and God bless.

There were a few theatres in the U.S. that refused to play “Brokeback Mountain.” The show was about gay cowboys. They took the religious stand on the issue, saying how its just wrong to show gay films etc. People, I hope you understand that these people who chose not to show the movie are true hypocrites. They act righteous like they are doing us a favor by not showing the gay films, that way we don’t stray off our straight path and become gay by watching these films.

Ok, why is it I cannot find in the ten commandments “Thou shalt not be gay.” ?  These churches make it seem like its one sin that cannot be forgiven. In fact, I think I can find more verses in the bible that reference your body as a temple of God, yet so many people get tattoos. You don’t see people refusing to play movies because an actor has a tattoo on. “Oh a tattoo is not a big of a deal as being gay”  Who can honestly say they know God enough to know that one thing is worse than another. God did not list “Degrees” with sins on the 10 commandments. In other words, he did not say that murdering someone is worse than stealing money. It was people who decided that taking a life from someone is worse than stealing. However, God makes no mention that it is worth, just that it is a sin. A sin is a sin is a sin. Stealing is the same as murder. It is sin regardless and because of that, without Jesus, you are unworthy to be in Gods heavenly kingdom.

With that being said, why are people out there, choosing what laws fit them and discarding the others as nothing. Why is it wrong to show a gay film, but it is ok to show a film where there are sadistic people, killing other people (Saw, Saw 2, Fight Club, Troy) These films show violence and death. But its ok to show them, because they are not as bad as being gay. These people are hypocrites. They take Gods laws into their own hands and choose which ones work best for them. They are not Christians. They try manipulating the bible and acting righteous.

Those who smoke, drink alcohol, get piercing, tattoos, cut yourselves, starve yourselves, worry about your looks etc. are just as guilty as being gay, because they desecrate Gods temple, which is your body. Yet, people only point out the bad things that they are not involved with.

For the record, I am not gay. But that does not matter and its besides the point. If your church picks and chooses which sins are causes for excommunication and which are not, you may want to reconsider your church. For they are already judging people, taking Gods job away from him. They dare choose which sin is worse than the other. Churches do not choose who their followers are. God chooses the followers. If some church dares to turn their backs on a particular sin, I would be very cautious of that church and their teachings. Thru Christ, all sins that you commit have already been forgiven. Your salvation is dependent on Faith alone. Thru the Grace of God you have already been saved.

Ok, well that is my 2 cent argument for the day. Feel free to argue or comment.

Black and white fur

Neatly trimmed claws

New hair cut

Even in death there is beauty

Her tongue hangs

Her eyes stare into nothing

Her muscles are relaxed

Her heart has stopped

Im holding her ear

It was her favorite place for me to pet

I whisper words of love

I pray she finds my home in heaven

I didn’t want her to leave

She did not want to leave

Death is neither of our choices

It was God’s will

It won’t be long

We all have our day

I pray I have her courage

Our paths will cross again soon
